'All eight Romsey Road Runners who entered this year's London Marathon, finished the race in excellent times and seven of them (pictured) came along to the training session on Monday evening to show off their thoroughly deserved medals. All had put in many hours and miles beforehand and their efforts were rewarded. Tamatha Ryan was very pleased to finish her first marathon in 3 hours, 40 minutes; she now looks forward to entering the New York! Andrew Archibald (3:53) and Ken West (3:57) had both run the event at least twice before and this was the first time they finished in under 4 hours. Kerry Williams took 22 minutes of her previous best time set at last year's New Forest Marathon, but was slightly disappointed to finish just one minute over four hours. Carol Brunner ran the event for the second time in as many years and was delighted to set a new personal best time by one minute, finishing in 4:46. Despite battling with recent injuries, Victoria Loveless finished in 4:45 and Gill Callus in 5:36. Gill particularly enjoyed the day, "I absolutely loved it" she said. New member Paul Goodman also completed the race in 4:20. Apart from the welcome cool, damp conditions, the day was made complete for all eight Romsey Road Runners by the amount of money their achievement raised for chosen charities.
