for all Marshalls and RRR's after the Beer Race!!
What more incentive do you need to help out marshalling the forth coming Beer Race then a top quality BBQ for all helpers at a paltry cost of just £3 per person payable on the day!! Christine Saunders will soon be distributing forms for those wishing to partake in this culinary fest.
The event will take place on the playing field in Braishfield, and there will also be a game of rounders afterwards for those that wish to burn off the recently added calories.
Everyone can pay on the day but numbers will be needed beforehand - do you need a better reason to sign up as a Marshall to help out?!?!

PARTY 2010
This years Pasta Party will be on Tuesday 20th of April at Annie's Restaurant, Kimbridge.
The price is £9.95 per person and will include a selection of pasta dishes, salads and garlic bread.
There will also be a quiz so dust off your Trivial Pursuit board game in preparation...there will be prizes for the winning team!
I need final numbers by Monday 12th of April.

Recently I have arranged with Halterworth the idea of having another friendly football match. For the newer members or those with poor memories the first match was in October 2007 and Halterworth Harriers won 5-2. I had no hesitation in agreeing to the idea.
A signup sheet will be available at club nights at a later date (September). However please use this information as an early reminder to keep the afternoon available at least. After the match there will be drinks and cakes.
The match is open to ALL club members (whether young or old, male or female) everyone who signs the sheet will play depending on numbers for how long. Also for all those who wish to watch and support please come along. There will be no charge for playing and a proper referee has been arranged.
ALL PARTICIPATION IS DONE AT YOUR OWN RISK-NO RESPONSIBILITY WILL BE AGAINST EITHER CLUB OR MEMBERS INVOLVED.

It has come to the notice of the "longer standing" members of the Club, that in September next year, Romsey Road Runners will be celebrating its 25 year anniversary!!
With this in mind it is planned for a celebratory evening to be held to commemorate the momentous event, and so the Committee would like you think of what you would like to see happen on the evening. So start thinking what you'd like and either speak to a Committee member directly or you can e-mail Christine the Social Secretary directly here.

Raffle as well in aid of Cedar Lawn Nursing Home in Romsey

Club Weekend Running Trip Spring 2009!!

Club Weekend Running Trip Spring 2009!!
Romsey Road Runners are looking to organise a running weekend trip in Spring 2009.....This weekend will involve 2 nights away, either in Pembrokshire or Cornwall. The weekend will involve the possibility of entering a local 10km or 1/2 marathon race on the Saturday. If you are interested in coming along then just let Nick know by emailing here.
Anticipated cost of weekend is between £120 - £150, will depend on how many people go, what standard of accommodation, etc. There is also a sign-up sheet at club nights, currently registering interest only - with no committment. Possible dates are the 13-15th March 2009 in Pembrokeshire, or 3rd-5th April in Cornwall
