Blackmore Vale Feb 2015
Blackmore Vale Feb 2015

Tam Ryan completed the Blackmore Vale Half Marathon on Sunday, 7th February in nearby Dorset. Runners started from Bishops Caundle Village Hall, completing a circular route of hilly terrain. The event provides runners with an excellent base for spring marathons. Tam finished in a time of 1:34:38: 1st in her age category and 7th lady overall.

On a roll, and in marathon training, Tam also produced a good finish in the Bramley 10/20 on Sunday, 15th February. This is a very popular race which takes runners on two 10 mile laps from around the rural villages north of Bramley, North Hampshire. Weather conditions were good on the day and Tam had a stonking run, gaining yet another personal best, she finished in 2:25:14.

Also on 15th February, the good conditions greeted a contingency of RRR in the 6th CC6 of the current series at Denny Wood, hosted by Totton Runners. The previous day’s heavy rain made for muddy off road conditions with plenty of waterlogged conditions underfoot with the mud robbing one or two runners of their shoes.
