As Covid continues to restrict our ability to run together as a community, and with races still on hold, the committee have put together what we hope will be a fun and enjoyable challenge for us all to take part in over the coming months.
SO WHAT DOES IT ALL INVOLVE?
There will be 8 races in the series, and each race will be on a designated route so we all run the same thing (albeit on our own or with one other runner until Lockdown rules change). The 5k, 5m and 10k routes are all on roads, whilst the 10m and HM routes will be multi-terrain (a mix of roads and trails).
The winners of each race and the overall series will be the best age-graded (i.e. times adjusted for age) male and female runners. This levels the playing field and means everyone is in with a chance of winning.
* By taking part you are consenting for the organisers to use your date of birth to calculate your age-graded results. Only your age-graded results without any personal data will be published. If anyone would prefer not to be included in the age-graded results you can still earn your mug but your times won’t be entered for the individual race or series winner results – please notify the organisers when submitting you results.
We are also giving everyone who completes 6 of the 8 races an RRR mug, commissioned from White Horse Pottery. Each mug is made by hand from red earthenware clay thrown on a potter’s wheel and finished in a blue glaze. They are lovely things and we hope you will enjoy drinking your morning cuppa/ coffee/ hot chocolate out of them. You can choose which ever 6 races you want to do to get your mug.

IMPORTANT RULES-TYPE STUFF
Each race will be live for one month only.
Each race is run along a designated route.
GPX and maps of the routes, as well as a brief course description are available from the links on this page.
The start and finish of the routes are clearly annotated on the maps and GPX files in the links above.
You can practice the routes as often as you like, but please only send your fastest time for that month’s race (e.g. your 2 fastest times for the 5k, 5m and 10k, and your fastest time for the 10m and half marathon)
Times should be emailed to: firstname.lastname@example.org using a link to your strava or similar account, or a picture of your watch face showing time, date and mileage.
Please submit your fastest elapsed time, not your moving time.
Make sure you’ve sent your time in by the end of that month to be included in the results.
The winners of each race and the series overall will be the best age-graded male and female runners.
There is a handmade RRR mug for everyone who completes 6 races, which 6 you choose is up to you. You could, for example, do 2x 5k + 2x 5 mile + 2x 10k to earn your mug.
Prizes and mugs will be given out at the AGM in November
