Race Fixtures

As a club we are involved in several race fixtures and leagues within the local area and encourage all our members to consider running at the following:

RRR CC6CC6 Cross Country League

Held in the Winter, these low-key local races take place once a month at 9.30am on Sunday mornings, between October and March. Distances are between 4 and 5 miles and are run off-road; expect to get muddy feet! There is no need to enter in advance, just turn up on the day in your club vest and run! Each club takes it in turn to co-host a race and members are asked to come along and marshal, so please make a note of our race date. Your overall individual result will be determined by your best 4 out of 6 possible race results. Keep up to date with the series at www.cc6.co.uk.

RR10 League

RRR RR10Held in the Spring and Summer, these friendly local races take place usually on alternate Wednesday evenings, between April and August. Start times vary. Distances are between 4 and 5 miles and are run off-road, mainly on tracks and trails around the New Forest and other local country parks. There is no need to enter in advance, just turn up on the day in your club vest and run! Each club takes it in turn to host a race and members who usually race are required to support by marshalling. Your overall individual result will be determined by your best 6 out of 9 possible race results. Keep up to date with the series at www.rr10.org.uk.

Mile of Miles RelayRRR Mile of Miles

This is a great event held on a Summer’s evening in June/July when clubs come together to put their teams to the test! Teams are made up of 10 runners, each running a metric mile (4x400m), with the winning team achieving the fastest cumulative time.

Hampshire Road Race League

The Hampshire Road Race League (HRRL) is an annual series of road races for all runners from participating clubs in the County. Since 2008-9 there have been twelve races in the season, from September to May. Runners wishing to participate should enter the various races directly. Individuals score points from their finishing positions in each race, and club teams score points through the success of their runners (teams are made up of 4 men or 3 women). Details of the races and dates can be found here.

Hampshire Cross Country League

The Hampshire Cross Country League (HCCL) is also an annual race series… this time cross country!  It runs during the Autumn-Winter season, and includes five events.  These can be pretty muddy and competitive, although slower runners needn’t be put off as they still cater for a wide range of abilities.  For more info, check here.
